In Q2 2024, the personal finance category on Android saw varied performances among the top applications. Sensor Tower provides a closer look at how these apps fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Money manager & expenses experienced a peak in downloads in late April with nearly 1.2M, followed by a decline to around 478K by the end of June. Revenue for the app saw an upward trend, increasing from $129K in the first week of April to $178K by late June. Weekly active users started strong at 10.6M but saw a dip in May, stabilizing around 9.2M towards the end of the quarter.

Splitwise also had a notable peak in revenue during late April at $214K, with a consistent performance around $180K towards June's end. Downloads for the app showed a steady start with 451K in early April, peaking at 588K by the end of that month, but later settling at 426K. Active users saw a slight drop from 3.9M to 3.2M throughout the quarter.

The Budget planner—Expense tracker saw its highest downloads in late April with 472K, and ended the quarter with 386K. Revenue trended positively, starting at $75K and reaching $179K by the end of June. Weekly active users showed growth, starting at 223K and reaching 502K twice, at the end of May and June.

Tricount - Split group bills saw its downloads fluctuate, peaking at 367K in late April and ending the quarter with 372K. Revenue saw a dip in May, down to $33K, but recovered slightly to $42K by June's end. Active users had a slight decrease from 1.6M to 1.4M over the quarter.

Wallet: Budget Expense Tracker demonstrated an increase in revenue from $143K in the first week of April to $247K by the end of June. Downloads peaked at 277K in late April but saw a decrease to 169K by June's end. The app's active users had a slight fluctuation, with a high of 2.0M in the first week of April and settling at 1.8M by the close of Q2.
